    FAQ:
    • What is the difference between vinyl and urethane bladders?
Answer: Vinyl bladders will not have the same longevity as the urethane material, but is an excellent air holding material and if taken care of will last for years of enjoyment. Urethane material will be more forgiving to abrasion, puncture, and moisture. It is the #1 bladder material available.
    • How should I store my boat?
Answer: The two most important things when storing your PAC is to store it DRY and keep it out of the sun. Your craft can be stored inflated or deflated which ever is most convenient for you. Storing your boat out of the sun is the most important step to maximizing the life of your boat.
    • Pontoon Craft vs. Float Tubes
Ask yourself what type of fishing you usually do?
      • If you mainly fish small ponds and lakes, your best option is the Fish Cat 4/Trinity/Super Fat Cat. Small enough to be packed into remote areas.
      • Streamer XL/FC Panther/FC-9/PAC series are all useful for larger water applications! If you're looking to float rivers, pontoon boats are your only option when talking inflatable boats! Pontoons boats will broaden your options to a whole new level.
      • Pontoons can as well be used on Stillwater! And with all of the extra features offered. Rowing, fin kicking or adding a trolling motor makes for easy maneuvering.
      • Please note that every float craft has its own special features, and that one type can’t cover all of your needs. Just keep in mind what type of fishing activity you tend to find yourself doing the most.
      • One final note always keep safety at the top of your list for future enjoyment in the float craft of your choice.

    • I have a boat now what do I do?
Pontoon Boat 101 1 Choose a pontoon craft that best fits your needs. Example: lakes, rivers, flats, or all of the above. Make sure your are not buying on price alone, but for durability, performance, customer service, warranty, and most importantly, buying from a reputable company. 2 After choosing the perfect craft for you, set it up and take it back apart a couple of times to make sure you completely have it mastered. Items that are a must to always have with you on your pontoon boat are; durable hand pump, repair kit, and a coast guard approved life vest. There is no reason to take a chance on turning a trip of a lifetime into your biggest nightmare. This is no different than having a spare tire, jack, and lug wrench in your car. 3 Your first launch should be on a small pond where you can learn how to use your fins and oars properly. Taking time to learn these techniques now, will pay off with a lot fewer frustrations when you’re trying to catch fish. Practice rowing backwards, forwards, and spinning your boat from side to side until you feel comfortable. Follow up by tucking your oars behind the boat and fin kicking the boat around for a while to get used to them. 4 Your next venture should be to launch your boat on a slow moving stream or river. You should take all of your fishing gear with you, but don’t plan on using it on this first trip. Load your boat with all of your gear, and practice getting from one side of the river to the other with your oars. Once comfortable, tuck your oars behind you and fin kick your boat for a while. These boats are really quite easy to navigate with your fins; it just takes a little practice. 5 The most important rule of thumb for moving water is to always point your nose of the boat toward trouble, and when within 10 ft. or so, pull back on your oars 3 or 4 strokes, and the current will pull you around the obstacle. Practice this on slow moving water and small obstacles until you feel comfortable, and then move onto bigger water. The same rules apply to using fins; it is just a matter of building your confidence up on as to how far can you move your boat with fins. Certainly, the more you go, the more you get your legs in shape, and you will be amazed how little you will end up using your oars. This results in the rod being in hand more, more casts, fly on the water more, more fish!!!!!! 6 Pontoon boating will open a whole new world of fishing for you. It’s an incredible feeling being a self-sufficient fishing machine. You’ll reach waters that wade fisherman, and drift boats can’t get to. Have fun, be safe, and keep a tight line.
    • What is the proper air pressure for my boat?
Answer: You will have to adjust the pressure of the pontoons with the varying conditions. When you are transporting your craft you should have about a 1 in. to 2 in. give when you press on the center of the pontoon, and may have to adjust with temperature and elevation changes. When using your craft you will only want about a half inch give when you press with your thumb in the center of the pontoon. Whether you are transporting or floating just keep an eye on it.
    • Where can I purchase an Outcast Sporting Gear boat?
Answer: You can find a dealer on our dealer list at www.outcastboats.com or call us and we can put you in touch with one.
    • What class of water can I use my PAC in?
Answer: your Outcast boat is durable enough for any class, but each persons skill level varies, so only float water that you are comfortable with.

"The Klod Hopper"- by Paul Stimpson I hate tying hoppers, but I love to fish them. I took this problem to the vise to develop a quick, easy tie that would imitate a mature grasshopper, float well, and fool some of the "intelligent" fish I've had to...
