Float Fishing Trips
Floating is a very popular and effective way to fish some of our large, western rivers. Whether you choose a full or half day float, the drift boat allows you to cover a lot of water, and see sections of river that wading anglers can rarely access. Along the way, you may stop and wade fish productive water, or relax and fish from the boat. Our experienced guides maneuver the boat and offer helpful suggestions while you enjoy the fishing and scenery. The Madison and Yellowstone Rivers are our main float trip destinations, but we may travel elsewhere based on angler preference and fishing conditions.

Our wade trip destinations include the Madison, Firehole, Gallatin, Lamar, and Yellowstone Rivers, as well as Slough Creek and other small streams. Climate and Clothing
Our high altitude and surrounding mountains make for beautiful, but often unpredictable weather. Cold nights are often paired with hot days. It can rain or snow on any day of the year. Prepare accordingly with a variety of clothing, a raincoat, and a sun hat. For fishing polarized sunglasses and sunblock are essential.
Fishing Tackle
While our rivers and lakes are truly unique, the gear needed for fishing them is not. Fly rods in the 8' to 9' range matched with a 5 or 6 wt. line are ideal for most situations. Contact us for fly suggestions, or we can set you up with the hot patterns when you get here. Felt soled waders, camers, and standard sized leaders and tippets round out the package.
